Banglalink won the Google Karma Jobs Award
Banglalink has won the CSR Award in the Financial Inclusion category for its 'Empowerment through Employment' initiative with Karma Jobs by Google. The award is jointly organized by The Daily Star and CSR Window Bangladesh. The event is organized to recognize corporate organizations for their innovative and world-class corporate social responsibility, various social initiatives, projects and programs implemented to bring about lasting change in society.
Banglalink's Chief Executive Officer Eric Oss received the award on behalf of his organization. Taimur Rahman, Chief Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Officer, Banglalink, and Sureka, Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability were also present on the occasion.
Banglalink has partnered with Job-Matching App Karma Jobs to help job seekers find entry-level jobs. Banglalink has set up separate work jobs kiosks at the Banglalink Customer Care Center as part of the partnership. Job representatives at kiosks will help job seekers find the job they want using the Jobs app and access the various learning resources needed. At the same time, Banglalink and Karma Jobs jointly organize various virtual career development sessions, job fairs and other programs as a strategic partner to increase the employment of youth in the country. Banglalink was selected as the winner out of five finalists to play an exemplary role in youth empowerment through this CSR project.
